“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.”

Isaiah 58:10 (NLT)

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Wadsworth FISH. We are blessed that you have stopped by. Our organization was started in 1969 to help keep low income families in their homes, warm, fed, and clothed. We are an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) non-profit, faith based organization, governed by a Board of Directors consisting of members from various local churches and community partners in the Wadsworth, Ohio area.

The name “FISH” comes from the fish symbol that was secretly used by early Christians during centuries of persecution to identify themselves to one another. We use this symbol today to represent “neighbor helping neighbor” and caring for one another.

Our services include:

  • Emergency and short-term financial assistance
  • Referral services to surrounding county agencies
  • Adopt-a-Family Christmas program

If you, or someone you know could use help from Wadsworth FISH, or if you would like more information on how you can help, please visit our contact page.
